FORWARD TRUCK RECYCLING
Brian .Outhouse
4062 S hneider Dr.
Oregon Wi. 53575
Objecti 'e:
To cha ge the existing conditional use permit to allow a truck recycling center.
Descri s tion of Property:
I have .urchased a 65 acre parcel south of Highway A and west of Dead End Road,
The p eel is currently zoned A-1 except for approximately 17.7 acres which is
zoned t-2 and which has a conditional use for mineral extraction. Of the land zoned
A-2 onl_ about ten acres is being quarried. I plan to use the quarry floor as a truck
recvcli g center. The remaining A-2 acreage will be left in its natural state.
I have c osen this site for several reasons. One reason is that it is in conformance
with th:. Town of Perry Land Use Plan Map which has classified the quarry area for
manufa .truing. Another reason is the planned use will preserve all of the productive
fannlan. on the parcel. The hilly terrain also provides a natural screening of the
quarry oor from any of the neighboring properties or from Dead End Road and
IIighwa. A.
Nature of Business and Materials to be Handled:
A truck i ecycling business consists of buying unwanted trucks ranging in size from
pickup cks to semi tractors and removing and selling the parts. These parts are
sold to armers, contractors, municipalities and recyclers. I have had the advantage
of wor •ing in a truck recycling center over the past 8 years and I have a father with
over 35 years of experience in the business. This insight has enabled me to develop
a plan o operation that is environmentally safe, efficient, and cost effective: "My plan
of oper.Lion is as follows:
1. Park e truck in the dismantling building.
2. Drai the rear end, transmission, engine, radiator, power steering, master
cylin er, and fuel tank.
a.The-e fluids will be stored in above ground tanks.
b.The diesel fuel and other lubricants will be sold to an oil recycler.
c.The as and antifreeze will be used in the yard equipment.
3. Rem•ve the rear end punkin, transmission, engine, radiator, steering gear, and
fuel nk.
a.A power washer will be used to remove remaining lubricants from the parts.
b.The-e parts will then be stored on an impervious surface until sold.
