4300 Forest Dr. NE
Bremerton, WA 98310
July 22 , 1991
F. L. San a
Rt . 3
Mount Ho eb, WI 53572
Dear Mr. Sanna:
Th:nk you for your letter of July 15 , 1991 , in which you express
your int-rest in constructing a replacement fence along the line which
separate _ our adjoining land in the Township of Vermont .
I , ould like to meet with you to discuss the particulars of this
fence . W- are , however, temporarily out of the area, making such a
meeting mpractical at this time . I suggest we instead plan to meet
after ou return to Wisconsin in mid-September to discuss this matter.
We do still intend , as you realize , to continue to use our
Vermont township land for agricultural use , tax assessments
permitti g , and have no objection to fencing the line in question.
However, as we do our own fencing , you should understand that any
construc ion of a line fence initiated by you or by a third party upon
your aut orization prior to our meeting and reaching an agreement must
be compl-tely at your expense and will not be shared by us . That
particular line has not had a standing fence for at least the last
twenty-f ve years . As there presently are no livestock pastured or
otherwis- housed upon the parcel of our land which adjoins yours , and
as we ha e no intention of placing any there prior to the spring of
1992 at he earliest , there should be no reason why such construction
needs to be initiated in the urgent manner intimated in your letter.
I ill assure you, however, that all necessary and legal fences
involvin.: our adjoining lands will be in place prior to the
introduc ion of cattle , sheep or swine to the parcel involved.
Finally, you need not concern yourself over the effects our
farming operations might have on the "fragile Black Earth Creek
watershed . " You know as I do that the greater long term threat to
that wat-rshed and its associated ecosystem stems instead from the
permanen destruction of the environmental integrity of that valley
engender-d by continuing encroachment into agriculturally zoned land
by resithntial construction.
