Shillingstad Trust <br /> Rolling Meadows Ranch LLC/Registered Premise <br /> 6227 Purcell Road <br /> Oregon WI 53575 <br /> Re: Farm Status <br /> We purchased the Property listed above in 2004 and at that time <br /> established an LLC and farm operation. We subsequently purchased the <br /> property next to us from the Christiansens, 6195 Purcell Road, and <br /> added an additional 22.5 acres to our original piece of property. This <br /> brought our farm to almost 39 acres, which is reflected in the new <br /> parcel noted as 050906186800 in the County records. As it exceeds 35 <br /> acres, and is in hay, corn, soybeans, and pasture, it qualifies as a farm <br /> per the definitions set forth. <br /> For the past 4 years we have filed farm schedules with our income tax <br /> returns. Income from our farm for 2008, in the process of being filed by <br /> Meicher and Associates, exceeds $12,100 for 2008. This income <br /> consists of corn lease payments from the Doerfers, sale of 3 beef cattle <br /> (sold as 6 halves to Rau, Sebastian, Lutz, Pearson, LaManna, and <br /> Shillingstad), sale of 7 hogs (3 sold at auction at the Dane County Meat <br /> Sale and 4 hogs sold through private sales), and sale of hay to adjacent <br /> farms (Behnkes). <br /> Additionally, we had built an animal barn in 2005 which the County <br /> Zoning Office previously told us we did not need a permit for as it was a <br /> farm building and we were zoned A-2 and not in a flood zone. Again in <br /> 2006 we added two animal leans and were told we did not need a <br /> permit at that time either. <br /> Currently we are building a 10X10 foot lean inside our west pasture to <br /> be used by horses and cattle. Additionally we are adding a 12X30 foot <br />
