Secretary
Fitchburg, WI 53713
26-Jun-91
File Code: 3500
• William Fleck, Zoning Administrator Dane County .
Room 116 , City-County Building
Madison, Wisconsin 53709
Subject: Cherokee Park, Inc . /John Fox Fill , NWI/4 , NE1/4 ,
Section 24 , Town of Westport, Wetland deliniation.
Dear Bill :
On June 11 , 1991 , a wetland deliniation and survey were conducted at
the above described site . The fill and grading for road
construction that has taken place at this site were found to have
encroached into wetlands over a majority of the project fill area.
The survey materials from the wetland deliniation have been given to
Lois Stoerzer, our Department Wetlands Inventory Mapper, for map
corrections . Your office will be provided with the survey materials
and a corrected wetland inventory map as soon as Lois has completed
the map changes . A phone call to Lois this morning indicates these
materials should be available within several weeks .
The survey and map correction will depict the verified wetlands of
the site as being contiguous to the S3k wetland, shown northward on
the present map, which is over 5 acres in size. The verified
wetlands extend in a general southward and eastward direction to
Lake Cherokee and include most of the new road fill .
Sincerely,
Clark M. Amundsen
Water Management Specialist
cc : Lois Stoerzer - WZ/6 GEFII
