DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
CO Describe any material discrepancy between the location of the corner as
restored or reestablished and the location of that corner as previously
restored or reestablished by distance and direction. Show the discrepancy in
the sketch on sheet 1.
IT APPEARS THAT HOWARD LICHT FOUND THAT WOODSTONE ADDITION TO COUNTRY GROVE
PLAT FOUND AND USED A 1Y4' IRON STAKE AS THE BOUNDARY OF THE PLAT. THIS
POSITION DOES NOT MATCH THE ESTABLISHED POSITION OF THE CENTER BY REFERENCING
COUNTY BLUE BOOK, VOLUME 2, PAGE 399 AND CALCULATING THE P❑SITI❑N EQUIDISTANT
BETWEEN THE EAST 34 AND THE WEST 34. HOWARD LICHT PLATTED 'THE CROSSING' AND
'ICE AGE RIDGE' PLATS AND HE USED THIS IRON STAKE AS HIS BOUNDARY, BUT HE
GENERATED A TIE SHEET DATED MAY 17, 2001 SHOWING THE DISCREPANCY BETWEEN
PLATTED BOUNDARIES AND THE TRUE CENTER OF SECTION. ON THIS TIE SHEET, HOWARD
LICHT SET AN ALUMINUM MONUMENT AT THE TRUE CENTER OF SECTION P❑SITI❑N AND
TIED IT TO THE PLAT BOUNDARY AND ADDITIONAL LOT CORNERS AS TIES.
LATER A 1 /4' REBAR WAS FOUND BY CARL SANDSNES PER TIE SHEET DATED JANUARY
14, 2007. HE REPLACED THE 1 REBAR WITH A BRASS MONUMENT. IT APPEARS THAT
SANDSNES DID NOT FIND LICHT'S ALUMINUM MONUMENT BECAUSE IT IS NOT REFERENCED
OR SHOWN ON HIS TIE SHEET. I BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE HE DID NOT FIND THIS
MONUMENT, SANDSNES INCORRECTLY ACCEPTED THE REBAR AS THE CENTER AN
THEREFORE REPLACED IT WITH A BRASS CAP MONUMENT.
I AGREED WITH HOWARD LICHT'S ALUMINUM MONUMENT POSITION FOR THE TRUE CENTER
OF SECTI❑N.
(f) Was the corner restored through acceptance of (1) an obliterated evidence
location, or (2) a found perpetuated location?
2.) PERPETUATED
(g&h) Was -the corner reestablished through proportionate methods? If so,
show the method, including the directions and distances to other public land
survey corners used as evidence or used for proportioning in determining the
corner location?
NO, FOUND MONUMENT
(I) List all previous Monument Records found, previously filed for the subject
corner, including monument types set or found, surveyor, and date of survey.
- SET BRASS MON. PER SANDSNES TIE SHEET 2007
- SET ALUM. MON. PER LICHT TIE SHEET 2001
- FOUND BRASS MON. MEANDER CORNER PER LICHT TIE SHEET 1998
- SET BRASS MON. MEANDER CORNER AND SET IRON STAKE AS CENTER
PER MEAD AND HUNT TIE SHEET
C j) I, Ofi ,4c4% t , hereby certify that
the corner location shown on this record was
determined by me or under my direction and control
and that this U.S. Public Land Survey Monument i ; ' t
Record is correct and complete to the best of my vi
knowledge and belief.
