One of the reference ties from the previous Barnes tie sheet dated March 17, 2009 were <br /> recovered and checked well. A PK Nail stem was found and matches the distance from the 1" Iron Pipe from <br /> the previous tie sheets as being the PK set by Combs for the North 1/4 corner of Section 5, Porter Township, <br /> Rock County. The location of the 1" Iron Pipe was accepted based on the verification of existing reference ties <br /> and use in surveys in the area.
