Two of the reference ties from the previous Weir tie sheet were recovered <br /> and one checked well and the other has been disturbed. A 1" Iron Pipe was found as shown for the Northwest <br /> 1/4 corner of Section 4, Porter Township, Rock County and the tie between the monuments was verified with <br /> the tie sheet completed by Barnes. The location of the Railroad Spike was accepted based on the verification <br /> of existing reference ties and use in surveys in the area.
