DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements(a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 14
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST
14
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 415,628.83
EASTING: 883,538.40 •
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: 911.94 VERTICAL DATUM: (NAVD 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
A 5/8" Iron Bar was located at the centerline of Tower Road and approximately 6-inches beneath the
pavement surface. Two of the reference ties set by Riesop were recovered and checked well. The origin of
the Iron Bar is not for sure. Surveys in the area mention both recovering the PK Nail and the Iron Bar. A PK
Nail may have existed above the Iron Bar at some point but I found no evidence of who set the Iron Bar. The
location of the 5/811 Iron Bar in Tower Road was accepted as the section corner based on verification of the
existing ties and being used in recent surveys in the area. Two additional reference monuments were set and
tied to the corner.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d)The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
p
W
N IQ
1 O I
Ce n/ POWER
HOUSE POLE
I 15
. ,
NO.7B5 I—
1
/
0 25' 50' p///1 P !I
ics
N/ I I cln
OI
O
B C LINES
• AI%0 yo
\•-2 O
"*.\ cs4. ^' LINE BEARING DISTANCE
S, 9'01 A-B S 84°51'42"W 29 53'
\\\ I m A-C S 87°20'36"E 20.52'
LEGEND ' \
5/8"IRON BAR-SECTION CORNER ts,p N
I \\; POWER
FD.3/4"IRON BAR POLE
Q SET 3/4"IRON REBAR
2
QO SET 1 1/4"IRON REBAR I 1'
I
CORNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 40511140000
