February 15, 1990 <br /> Dane County Zoning Department <br /> 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. <br /> City—County Building <br /> Madison, WI 53705 <br /> RE: Conditional Use Permit Application <br /> Payne & Dolan, Inc. as owner, hereby applies for a conditional permit <br /> for the property described as: <br /> Tax parcel number is 13-10-288. <br /> Payne & Dolan, Inc. has been awarded the subcontract for the bituminous <br /> resurfacing of State Projects #1001-10-81 & 1001-01-79. Cape & Sons, Inc. <br /> will be the general contractor on these projects which will include work <br /> on 190 from CTH B to the Beltline interchange (STH 12&18) . Payne & Dolan, <br /> Inc. intends to erect a portable asphalt plant at this site for the purpose <br /> of producing the asphalt mix to be used on these projects. These projects <br /> will be completed during the 1990 construction season. The exect date to <br /> start these projects has not been determined. We expect the portable <br /> asphalt plant to be at this site two different times for a three week period <br /> each time. <br /> The area is currently zoned A-2, and has a current mineral extraction <br /> permit. This is a logical site for the asphalt plant as the aggregates for <br /> the asphalt mixture will be taken from the same site. The surrounding lands <br /> are for agricultural use, except on the east boundary which is the Stoughton <br /> Airport. <br /> The portable asphalt plant requires no water, and is completely portable. <br /> No buildings of any kind will be erected. <br /> We would like the board to take action on this matter at the April, 10 <br /> hearing.
