April 18, 2009
Dear Hans,
We have enclosed our application for a building permit at our home address, 6593 Balzer
Rd., Middleton, in the Town of Springfield. We are hoping to add a small single-level
addition onto either the front or rear of our existing storage shed (24 x 24'). Currently,
our shed is flush with the front of our house. Although adding a front addition (option #1)
will place the shed closer to the road than is currently the case, it is preferable to adding
an addition at the rear (option #2) because our existing orchard trees and LP tank will
pose as obstacles to any concrete contractor who is seeking reasonable access for his
equipment at the rear of the shed. Also, we wish to use the front exposure for our fruit
and produce sales.
I don't believe our plans are problematic except for the fact that our floating slab in
option #1 will cover part of MG&E's underground electrical service. We plan to contact
the utility and ask for approval. If they feel this is a problem, then option #2 covering
the rear addition will become necessary. Either way, we believe this small addition
shouldn't present any aesthetic or structural problem.
Thank you in advance for you time and attention. We hope to hear from you as soon as
possible.
Sincerely,
o_ob, e_ Q_CL 491
Neal and Connie Bickler
6593 Balzer Rd.
Middleton, WI 53562
