(1) All signs within the jurisdiction <br /> of this ordinance shall remain in a state of proper maintenance. Proper maintenance shall <br /> be the absence of loose materials including peeling paint, paper or other material, <br /> prevention of excessive rust, the prevention of excessive vibration or shaking, and the <br /> maintenance of the original structural integrity of the sign, frame and other supports, its <br /> mounting, and all components thereof. <br /> (2) Signs found to be in violation of the provisions of this section shall be repaired or <br /> removed. <br /> [History: 10.79 rep. & recr., Sub. 2 to O.A. 6, 1989-90,pub. 09/21/90. ] <br /> 10.83 SET BACK REGULATIONS. <br /> (1) All signs be located a minimum of 5 feet from the road right-of-way except as <br /> otherwise provided by this ordinance. <br /> (2) A ground sign located on the premises of an existing business and whose bottom edge <br /> is less <br /> than 6 feet above ground level shall be set back the greater of the centerline distance or the <br /> right of way distance as specified in the following schedule: <br /> TYPE FEET FROM FEET FROM <br /> OF ROAD CENTERLINE RIGHT OF WAY <br /> Class A 100 42 <br /> Class B 75 42 <br /> Class C 63 30 <br /> Class D not applicable 20 <br /> Class E not applicable 30 <br /> (3) Ground and pylon signs shall be located a minimum of 5 feet from a side lot line. <br /> [History: 10.83 cr., Sub. 2 to O.A. 6, 1989-90,pub. 09/21/90. ] <br /> 10.88 VARIANCES. <br /> (1) Variances from the requirements of this chapter may be granted by the standing <br /> committee designated by the County Board upon application to and payment of a fee to the <br /> Zoning Administrator. Variances are limited as specified in this section. <br /> (2) Variances may be granted from the maximums of height or area (but not both) for all <br /> signs regulated by this ordinance, except as limited by this section. <br /> (3) Variances to maximum of height or area may not exceed maximums specified in this <br /> Chapter by more than 20%. <br /> (4) Variances may not be granted to maximum height, to maximum area or to minimum <br /> separation requirements for off-premise advertising signs. <br /> [History: 10.88 cr., Sub. 2 to O.A. 6, 1989-90,pub. 09/21/90. ] <br /> Page 5 <br />
