own
of
eronQ 335 N. Nine Mound Road • Verona, WI 53593 . 845-7187
February 5 , 1990
Bill Fleck , Dane Co . , Zoning Administrator
310 Martin Luther King Jr . Blvd .
Madison, Wi 53709
Dear Mr. Fleck:
The Town of Verona would like to request that your department
submit a corrective zoning petition to remedy an error that
occurred when the zoning department redrafted zoning maps to
reflect the changes adopted by the Town in its land use plan of
1979 . The area of concern is the James Winkleman property at
1913 CTH PB . The intent was to rezone the property to RH-1 . The
bulk of the property, located in Section 35 , was correctly
rezoned to RH-1 . However , a small triangular strip in Section
26--on the north side of the property--remains in the A-1 Ex.
district .
Our board was unaware of this matter until it was called to our
attention by the Winklemans . After checking, we are certain that
there was no intent to allow this strip to remain in the A-1 Ex.
district, and that it is simply an inadvertent error that
occurred in the redrafting of the maps .
Mr . and Mrs . Winkleman are concerned that the matter , if not
corrected , could cause future complications if they should every
decide to sell their property. Our board concurs in this
opinion, and would be willing to submit the necessary corrective
petition if you prefer that we do so.
Sincerely,
Harland F. Dahlk , Chai an
enc.
cc : James & Sally Winkleman
u 0 6 1998
aJ
J
