Instructions are as follows: <br /> 1. The permit card shall be posted on the premises before any earth disturbing activity is started. <br /> 2. The owner or his agent shall have all lot corners visibly staked prior to requesting an <br /> inspection. The Zoning Inspector shall not be responsible for determining the location of lot <br /> lines. Please be advised that zoning inspections are made in reliance upon your correct <br /> identification of property boundaries and lot lines. <br /> 3. FIRST INSPECTION: <br /> a. Is a location survey required? Yes/No If yes, a first inspection phone call request <br /> is not required. <br /> b. The owner or his agent shall request the first inspection when the foundation or <br /> basement walls have been constructed. Footings only are not considered a <br /> foundation. <br /> 4. SECOND INSPECTION: Shall be requested when the building is substantially completed. <br /> Interior trim, carpeting, painting, etc., do not have to be finished prior to the inspection but, <br /> interior walls must be in place and the electrical, plumbing and heating services must be <br /> installed and operating. <br /> 5. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE: The zoning inspections are made to verify <br /> compliance with the regulations of the zoning ordinance. The Zoning Division upon <br /> completion of the second inspection will issue a certificate of compliance. <br /> To schedule an inspection, call 266-4266, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM. Please <br /> give the permit number and the town that it is located in. You will be given an <br /> inspection request number,which will serve as a verification of your call. <br /> IMPORTANT: The two inspections required by the Zoning Ordinance can only be made by the <br /> Zoning Department. <br /> ** TOWN PERMITS: For information regarding Town permits, contact <br /> at <br /> S:\PlanDev\Zoning\ZLR\Forms,Applications&Informational Materials\ZONING PERMIT INSPECTION RQMTS.DOC <br />
