d. The A-2 parcel has soils which are classified as prime by USDA <br /> criteria, and most of the area not occupied by existing buildings <br /> is being cropped. The RH-3 parcel has approximately 3.5 acres of <br /> soils of "statewide significance" per USDA criteria, which is <br /> currently being cropped. The actual soil is Port Byron silt loam <br /> with slopes of 6 to 12%. (Capability unit Ille) <br /> e. The A-2 and R-1 parcels are relatively flat so slopes are not an <br /> issue. However , the south portion of the RH-3 parcel and all of <br /> the RH-4 parcel have steep, rocky slopes with very severe <br /> limitations for development and less than 2 feet of soil over <br /> limestone bedrock. The slopes are from 12 to 25% according to the <br /> soil map. Therefore, the question is whether any development <br /> should be allowed on such terrain. <br /> In addition, the RH-3 parcel has some agricultural land which <br /> would have to be crossed to reach the non-agricultural development <br /> area. <br /> 14 <br />
