All members were present . The minutes of <br /> the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br /> Duane and Carol Hoveland appeared before the Board to <br /> request a change to R-2 zoning for their property on Bonnie <br /> Avenue . They wish to add a solarium to the back of their <br /> house which would infringe on the back yard setback for R-1 <br /> zoning . The planning committee has approved the request . A <br /> motion was made by TN/SK to accept the Planning Committee <br /> recommendation and approve the zone change request . Motion <br /> carried. <br /> The additional traffic on East Gaston Road was discussed. <br /> David Strassman, who has a private drive at the end of Gaston <br /> Road, stated that he has installed signs at his private drive <br /> stating "No Trespassing" , and "Private Road" , but still <br /> people use his private drive as a short cut . It was <br /> suggested that license numbers of the violators be given to <br /> the police dept . so that citations may be issued. A motion <br /> was made by MK/SK to refer the problem to the Police Dept . to <br /> come up with an opinion and enforcement . Motion carried. <br /> The abandonment of Swaleim Road was discussed. Peter Funk , <br /> who lives on the road stated that it is nice to have his <br /> driveway plowed when needed, and would like it to remain a <br /> Town road. A motion was made by ES/TN to table the <br /> abandonment procedure on Swaleim Road until the Board hears <br /> from the owner . Carried. <br /> Parking for horse trailers for those who wish to use the <br /> Drumlin Trail was discussed. A letter from Police Chief <br /> Steve Olson on the parking situation was read. Members of <br /> the Horse Club explained what they are trying to do to get <br /> the horse trail established so that they can ride their <br /> horses in safety . • <br /> The ditch which cirries the rupof f fry lithe Co-op parking <br /> • lot was discussed. Jeff Smith reported that Town and Country <br /> engineering had determined that the slope from the Cenex <br /> driveway to Hwy N s between . 208% and . 3%. A . 35% slope may <br /> be possible . They suggest that a concrete ditch be <br /> constructed with a 54" bottom 6" thick and sloping sides . <br /> They estimate the cost at $30 , 000 . A motion was made by <br /> MK/SK that the Town will ask Dane County to see if they would <br /> replace the culvert which goes under Hwy N with a larger and <br /> lower culvert . Motion carried. <br /> The raise in cable TV rates was discussed. It was <br /> determined that federal law supersedes the Town ordinance in <br /> establishing the rates which can be charged. <br /> The Treasurers report and due bills were reviewed. A <br /> motion was made by pay all due bills with the exception of <br /> Data Research and $8 , 233 . 71 to Lake Mills Blacktop. Carried. <br /> Chairman Skaar reported that the DNR will take samples from <br /> the test wells at the land fill at the same time as Strand. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : 20 P .M. // <br /> � 9 <br /> •G{� . e‘2,1, <br />
