To: Dane County Zoning Committee
Shary Bisgard - Chairperson
From John B. and Carolyn Kiley
6
1437 Cty Hwy W
Stoughton, WI 53589
Date: September 11, 1990
Re: Re-zoning Petition # 4873
We reside directly West of the area that is under petition for re-zoning
(cross hatched area) and we strongly oppose the re-zoning petition for
the following reasons:
1) The proposed re-zoning does not conform to the Albion land use plan.
It is under the 35 acre minimum size for a single family unit.
2) The purpose of the land use plan was to maintain the agricultural
environment and preclude the development of agricultural land. This
re-zoning petition is a clear violation of the purpose of the land use
plan.
3) Approval of this re-zoning petition would set a precedent for further
development.
4) Special attention must be paid to this petition because the area is
particularily suseptible to development as it borders a golf course
expansion and is within a mile of the intersection of I-90 and Hwy 51.
The area surrounding the golf course is good agricultural land and will
be under considerable pressure for development if a precedent is set.
SEP 111990
ZONING CD V.
