cc-77 SEP201990 TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE BM900917 September 17 , 1990 ZONING INV. The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Eugene Skaar at 8 : 00 P .M. All members were present . The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. John Norwell of Dane County Hiway Dept . addressed the Board • on the drainage problem on Coffeytown Road. He stated that the County may reconstruct the intersection in the near future if the traffic situation warrants any changes . He suggested that a storm sewer with curb and gutter be installed on Coffeytown Road . John Krebs from the Cenex suggested that a perforated drain pipe with gravel fill , a filter cloth and a sump pump be installed. A motion was made by RG/TN to grant permission to the Cenex to install a french drain along Coffeytown Road. Carried. They are to come up with a plan and show it to the Board before construction. It was suggested that they contact Warren Meyers of Town & Country Engineering since they are somewhat familiar with the project . It was noted that some people still do not have their fire numbers . A motion was made by I'K/SK to ask the Fire Dept . to deliver the fire numbers on some Tuesday nite when they hold their weekly meeting. Motion carried. Zone change request No. 4879 by David Strassman, to change his property to A-2 (4) was discussed. A motion was made by ES/TN to recommend approval to the County. Motion carried. A generator and portable radio tower for the emergency government was discussed . It was recommended that the Town and the Village purchase a generator and radio tower for the Town Hall and the Fire Station. The cost would be shared equally by the Town and the Village . The cost would be around $2 , 700 plus $500 for a switch, plus installation. A motion was made by MK/SK to include the costs in the 1991 budget provided the Village shares the costs on a 50-50 basis . Motion carried. Mike Kindschi proposed that the Town sell its ' present computer system to the L.E.C . and purchase a new and larger system for the Town. He estimated that the cost to the Town would be around $1 , 600 . A motion was made by MK/SK to offer to sell the Towns ' computer system to the L .E.C . for $700 . Motion carried. The Board will establish the first budget meeting at the regular meeting on Oct . 1 , 1990 . A motion was made by TN/SK to adopt the proclamation that October be declared drug and alcohol awareness month. Carried. Jeff Smith reported that the box on the Ford truck could be repaired for about $1 , 780 at Madison Truck. A new box would cost about $2 , 100 plus $500 for installation. A motion was made by RG/ES to have the repairs done at Madison Truck for $1 , 780 . Motion carried. Jeff reported that he had checked on prices for a new one ton truck chaises . He found prices ranging from $12 , 277 to 1
