DANE COUNTY PUBLIC LAND SURVEY MONUMENT RECORD
This record shall show the location of the corner and shall include all of the following nine elements (a
through j).
(a) CORNER LOCATION MARK CORNER LOCATION
SECTION NUMBER: 1
TOWNSHIP 05 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST
1
•
DANE COUNTY COORDINATES
NORTHING: 429,045.02
EASTING: 886,142.68
HORIZONTAL DATUM &ADJUSTMENT: NAD 83(NSRS 2011) DANE COUNTY
ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT: VERTICAL DATUM: (NAVD 88)
(b) Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or
any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed.
A location of the corner is located at the intersection of the North-South and East-West 1/4 section lines for
Section 1 and falls within a large 4811 tree becoming hollow at the bottom. No monument was set. The location
matches that as shown by the Plat of Survey 94-0858 by David Riesop as to the section breakdown of Section
1. A previous survey by Robert Richardson in 1990 shows a different breakdown however it is unsure what
the breakdown is based on as it has bearing breaks at the center of section and different distances to each
corner. The location of the split was held as matching the recent survey by Riesop as well as occupation
along the East-West treeline. Four reference ties were established and tied to the corner.
(c) CORNER LOCATION SKETCH: In the sketch, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments of
lasting durable material.
(d) The sketch shall include physical features surrounding the monument location sufficient to easliy find the
monument when in the general area, such as but not limited to utility poles, signs, trees, edge of forests or
cropland, field lanes, water bodies, pavement, buildings, etc. Sketch shall also indicate north and scale, and
include descriptions of symbols, in sketch or by legend.
N
LEGEND
41, NO MONUMENT-SECTION CORNER
idiFN Q SET 3/4"IRON REBAR
FIELD
0 2.5' 5'
N.89°00'06"E. 1618'
Nofr
:90„ ,4)N' #'Y 44/ 14,
brb
Z \
4s•TREE
'*, O0\ N
S.89°00'19"W. 16.18'
FIELD
CORNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 40511012020
