TOWN OF ROXBURY
Terry J. Ramaker
9407 Blackhawk Tr.
Sauk City, Wi. 53583
SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR ZONING CHANGE FROM AGRICULTURAL
TO COMMERCIAL FOR LAND OWNED BY FUCHS TRUCKING
COMPANY LOCATED EAST OF HWY 78 AND PART OF THE
NW 1/4, SW 1/4, SEC. 18, T9N, R7E, TOWN OF ROXBURY,
DANE COUNTY, WI.
Dear Mr. Ramaker:
As to your above request, the Town Board of Roxbury, will not change
their previous decision to reject the above zoning change from agricultural
to commercial to be used as a truck parking lot.
As to your inquiry about land available in the town of Roxbury for commercial
purposes for a trucking company, the Town Board, at this time, has no
knowledge of land available.
The Town Board supports the Fuchs Trucking Company request for the
rezoning of the present land from wetland to commercial. We feel that the
rezoning will greatly improve the economic development in the Dane County
area and will also help to decrease unemployment and increase the tax base in
the area. It is also the only available livestock buying in the area, and is of
extreme importance to area farmers.
