March 3, 1989
Land Regulation & Records
County Zoning Room 116
210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Madison, WI 53709
To Whom It May Concern:
On behalf of Robert Kelter I'm informing you that it is his wish to have
you give confirmation to a zoning change on part of his acreage. He wishes
it to go from agricultural to RH-3 zoning. The area is described as followed:
Also please see enclosed aerial photo. The total area requested for zoning
is approximately 14 to 15 acres. The area involved is partially woods, rocky
ledges and dropoffs not suitable for tillable acreage. A portion of it is
deemed currently tillable, but much of that area has a very shallow soil depth.
Mr. Kelter has stated that a high percentage of the tillable area has less than
a proper plow depth of soil before hitting rock. This is not of much real
value in terms of crop production. There is a smaller area (approx. 2 to 3
acres) of better soil depth which should be suitable as a building site but
is not large enough to be of realistic tillable value. The majority of the
areas would stay as is in terms of woods and grassland. Therefore we feel that
this change of zoning would not interfere with any county land use plans.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Si 'rely, /
I
i
r/ 14P.
Terry A. Kurth
6515 Seybold Rd.
Madison, WI 53719
274-6311 (W)
798-3054 (H)
