Absent: Dehlh, Behnke, <br /> Miller. Others present: James Rawson, Michael Wilson, Margaret Jones, <br /> Mt.Vernon Telephone representatives. <br /> 1 . DANE COUNTY ZONING PETITION #4497 and Certified Survey #4310. <br /> Submitted by Fred Nelson. Location: 2572 Nine Mound Road. Purpose: <br /> rezone .8 more or less acres from the A-1 Ex. district to the R-1 <br /> district and create a separate lot for existing residence. Moved by <br /> Williamson, seconded by Maurer, to recommend approval of Z.P. #4281 . <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 2. DANE COUNTY ZONING PETITION #4503. Submitted by Ronald White, agent <br /> for Harvey Littleton. Location: Sec. 34 and 35, 6872 Sunset Drive. <br /> Purpose: to rezone 75 more or less acres from the A-1 Ex. district to <br /> the RH-2 Rural Homes district. Moved (Maurer) , second (Williamson) , to <br /> recommend approval of: ( 1 ) rezoning from the RH-1 to the RH-2 district <br /> an existing 11-acre parcel owned by Ron White and containing the White' s <br /> home and adjacent farm buildings) ; (2) rezoning from the A-1 Ex. to the <br /> RH-2 district appx. 14 acres directly east of the existing White <br /> property; (3) rezoning from the A-1 Ex. to the RH-2 district appx. 6 <br /> acres directly east of an existing RH-1 parcel owned by Kenneth Boehnen; <br /> and (4) retaining in the existing A-1 Ex. district the remainder (appx. <br /> 55 acres) of the land described in this petition. Motion carried. <br /> Although Margaret Jones, the purchaser of the 55-acre portion described <br /> in this petition, anticipates that her land will eventually be divided <br /> into three or four large rural home sites accessing from a future town <br /> road, the intended present use of the land is agricultural land there are <br /> no plans at this time to lay out and construct the road and do <br /> percolation tests that are necessary to properly plat the land. The <br /> commission agrees that the eventual use of this parcel is likely to be <br /> for rural home building sites, but believes that rezoning is premature <br /> at the present time. <br /> 3. DANE COUNTY ZONING PETITION #4505 and Certified Survey #4315 <br /> Submitted by T.Grenlie, agent for Gerald Maurer. Location: Sec. 11 , 1/2 <br /> mi . east of 6727 CTH PD. Purpose: to rezone 1 .6 acres from the A-1 Ex. <br /> to the A-2 ( 1 ) district to allow creation of an 11 ,00 sg. ft. lot to be <br /> used for a remote switching station by Mt.Vernon Telephone Co. Moved <br /> (Williamson ) , seconded (Bitzer) , to recommend approval of Petition 4505 <br /> and Certified Survey 4315. Motion Carried,, with Maurer abstaining. <br /> 4. DANE COUNTY ZONING PETITION #4493 Submitted by Floyd LaMere. <br /> Consideration of this petition was postponed until the May commission <br /> meeting, because the town was unable to notify Mr.LaMere in time for the <br /> present meeting. <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br />
