The Zylan process does not require holding tanks or settling ponds or
similar devices whereby liquid effluents could be generated. The extruded product
generated by the Zylan process will,in fact, absorb water and other liquids from
surrounding areas but will not release an effluent. The Zylan patented process is
completely different from, and should not be confused with, the Gould batch process
that was developed at USDA's Northern Regional Research Laboratory in Peoria,
Illinois. The Gould batch process does require holding tanks and settling ponds
resulting in a leachate in high volume operations.
If you require further verification that Zylan's patented process does not
generate liquid effluents or leachates, please let us know.
Sincerely,
6 Vit tAihNOL,J
Blair C.McMillan , • ' cMillan
