9099 Katzenbuechel Rd.
Mazomanie, WI 53560
July 3, 1989
Mr. Gene R. Rankin, Director
Dane County Land Regulation & Records
Room 116
City-County Building
Madison, WI 53709
Dear Gene:
I should like to apply for rezoning of a small portion of parcel
25-32-684.3 from agricultural land to RH-1, and, at the suggestion of
your staff, of all of parcel 25-32-684.1 from R-1 to RH-1.
In the case of the first parcel, I should like to erect a substantial
garage and storage building adjacent to the dwelling on the second parcel.
There are no outbuildings currently on the property, apart from an almost
unused outhouse, which is presently a toolshed (it stands on 25-32-684.1) .
My builder is prepared to begin work almost immediately, with completion
set for early autumn, at the latest. The number of square feet involved
is 3,900 out of a total of 28-29 acres. The site I propose to use was
formerly the site of the barn on the property. It is the most convenient
site to the house, and the only feasible site consistent with the driveway
and public road. Other sites would require new culverts, more excavation,
and more fill, plus additional work on a just-completed public road.
In the case of parcel 25-32-684.1, I intend to continue to use this parcel
as the site of the existing dwelling, with any further development to be
confined to improvement of that dwelling at some future time as yet unknown.
This parcel consists of approximately 1 1/4 acres. Your staff suggested
rezoning it to bring it in harmony with the adjacent 6.5-acre parcel (25-
32-684.2) which I also own together with Monona Rossol--my partnerin-
ownership of all three parcels. That way, your staff explained, the three
parcels we own would have only two zonings, not three categories as now.
Thank you for your assistance, and that of your staff.
Sincerely,
(.
://;‘1...G•J
John O. Holzhueter
P.S. Monona has authorized me to act for her in this transaction.
