I Z . .
l
E A
July 29, 1989
Dane County Zoning
Madison, WI
Dear Zoning Commissioner:
Please accept my request for a change in zoning for . 58 acres
of land which abuts the south of my property. The . 58 acre
parcel is currently zoned A-1 . I am requesting the parcel be
changed to C-1 so that I may attach it to the property I
currently own.
We need to attach the . 58 acre parcel to my present property
i for the following reasons:
1 . We currently have a drainage ditch which runs
through my property from west to east and
continues along the back of the two parcels
of land just to the east of my property.
Walter Olson owns the land which abuts my
property on the south. The Deerfield Farmers
Coop owns the land which abuts my property
on the west. The land owned by the Coop is
being used as a chemical storage area.
Consequently, any runoff or chemical spill
will travel from the Coop land and down the
drainage ditch on my property, within five
feet of my house.
Mr. Olson has agreed to sell to myself and the
two property owners to my east 130 feet of land,
each. The 130 feet, or . 58 acres, of land abuts
the south side of our properties.
I In conjunction with Mr. Olson and the Coop, the
Coop has agreed to move the ditch to the south
side of the 130 foot land parcels, thereby
moving the chemical drainage considerably
i further away from our houses. The Coop has
agreed, in writing, to pay for the construction
and all future maintenance of the relocated
ditch.
2. The parcel will provide room for potential reloca-
tion of my septic system if necessary in the
future.
3 . The parcel will be used for to further our
gardening hobby by providing space for fruit
trees, shrubery and garden.
i
3
i
1
( /3 -
