Subsequent to Petition #4481, the information contained in Norbert Scrib-
ner's letter of July 24, 1989 (see attached) was let known to us and the
Town of Springfield. The requirement for a change in zoning classification
represents a delicate subject for discussion in Springfield; the effort to
keep the 2.0 acre parcel in question in an agricultural-related zoning
classification is in accordance with their Master Plan. This information
was also revealed after Petition #4481.
The intended use of the parcel is to utilize that portion required to
construct a driveway to our adjacent 1.2 acre parcel in the Town of Berry.
Nature and local ordinances have rendered the original driveway impassable.
The anticipated purchase of the 2.0 acre parcel by us from Harold Spahn
represents his best interest in the matter, after notions of an easement
and less than marginal workability of the land were considered.
This application for re-zoning from A-i Exclusive to CO-1 stems from a
better understanding by us and Springfield of the requirements of the Town
and the County pertaining to this division of the land. We agree to a
restriction prohibiting any buildings since the creation of better access
to our adjacent property is our major concern. We fully understand the
intent of Springfield's Master Plan and do not wish to violate its inten-
tions. We fully understand the requirements of the County.
We anticipate plans for any construction would commence after January 1990.
Respectfully submitted,
kcia4A, 0,*()Y() //1/UGL
Dan and Julie aki
e 19 9
4o3
