4
own
of
e ro n a 335 N. Nine Mound Road • Verona, WI 53593 . 845-7187
NN
September 14 , 1939
Bill Fleck, Dane Co . Zoning Administrator
City County Building
Martin Luther King Jr . Blvd.
Madison, Wi 53709
Dear Mr. Fleck:
As discussed with you earlier by phone , the Town of Verona would
like to request that your department submit a corrective zoning
petition to remedy an error that occurred when Zoning
Petition #4503 was recently approved. The Town requested a
delayed effective date pending submittal of a satisfactory
certified survey . The Zoning Department inadvertently omitted
this condition from the rezoning. Had this not occurred,
there would be no present problem because only the two lots on
CSM#4375 would be rezoned to RH-2 and the 75 acres of farmland
being purchased by Ron White would remain in agricultural
zoning--which is advantageous to both the town and to Mr .
White .
It should be said that we recognize that for both the town
and the county, this petition has been a complicated one .
Originally, there were two other buyers involved in the
proposed purchase of the Littleton acreage . These buyers
withdrew and Mr . White decided to purchase the entire 75 acres
himself , thus changing considerably the facts presented to the
town and county. Mr . White has not included any of this acreage
in his certified survey (which includes only the land he
already owns) . The town plan commission and town board do not
support premature rezoning of agricultural land and for this
reason believe it is important to correct the error in order
that the entire 75 acre parcel remain agricultural .
Sincerely,
P- -//t,6 ‘9 ---e:141112
Harland F .
