A Request fore tAdi- prAVVIZt
We, Uriah Robert and Priscilla Sue Davis, own the property at fire number 3610
Rutlannn Town Line Road (at the intersection of Lake Kagonsa Road), Section
35, Dunn Township, Dane County Wisconsin. As shown on the site plan, there are
approximately 31 acres: 11 acres are wooded and about 20 acres are tillable. The 20
acres will be planted in hay. There are no building on the site at this time.
We intend to build a residence at the above address and to move our horse breeding
business, SEK Arabians, to this same location. We request a variance that would
allow us to offer horse boarding facilities when we build a barn.
SEK Arabians has been in business since 1981 and its size has remained fairly stable
since that time with one stallion, three brood mares, and (at this time) three young
horses and one show animal. The family also has three horses that are"pets"and not
part of the business. (One is 31 years old). The young animals and the show horse
are for sale.
Our long term goal is to continue breeding and showing arabian horses with about the
same quantity and mix as noted above but also to add about four boarders for finanical
and business reasons.
Therefore, in summation;
Stallion 1
Mares 3
Babies *3
Show *1
'Pets' 2
Boarders 4
Total 10- 14
* indicates animals for sale
Our operation is not static. Therefore, we request that a variance be issued to allow
SEK Arabians to offer boarding services but with the understanding (written or
otherwise)that there would be a limit of(about) 20 horses at this property .
Note: A verbal presentation of the above was made to the Dunn Township Board late
last year. At that time the board had no objections other than they made it clear that
this proposal for variance was to be limited to boarding horses-only!
