<br /> We the undersigned support the application to D'an€ County by
<br /> Donald & Patrica Clark to divide the 20 acre parcel that they presently
<br /> have their own homestead on into 4 parcel about 5' acres each.
<br /> a) We recognize that they have owned this land for c e'er ,a Quarter century,
<br /> ,
<br /> b) We recognize that they built this home in 1973,, when they had their,
<br /> full family there with them.
<br /> c) We recognize that 'Dane Township' has created':many, many parcels
<br /> and has created many special rezoning dis,trich since 1981 , so what j
<br /> they Cl8rk' s are asking for is only the treatment that others have been
<br /> given over the past 10 years . j
<br /> d) We recognize that after the public hearing on this land division and
<br /> re-zoning proposal in December of 1989 The! Town of Dane made no
<br /> written objection to this within the 30 days , ' in fact has never made
<br /> a written objection in over 6 months .
<br /> e) We recognize that our Town Board has told theClark's, "We don' t' t like
<br /> the idea of small parcels being created. !It tells peopl to move out
<br /> here, and we don't want that" . Despite this v&bal objedtion, and an
<br /> unwillingness to co-operateE with the Clarks, they have not formally!
<br /> objected to the 'County Board or County Board Land Cormnittee.
<br /> f) We know that the lands in the 20 ,acre pa rice l i 0 the NE Of the NE of
<br /> Section 17, Town of Dane, is all :wooded land, ' �nd will rot take any
<br /> cropland out of production at this time, i r
<br /> g) We know that Clarks themselves would like� to build a new smaller re-
<br /> tirement home on one of these parcels they p 1 are t�� create.
<br /> h) We also know that at least One of their sbns, ' n6 ,, aybe12 would like
<br /> to build on some of the other lots. Their, home;SteJ is presently on
<br /> ' I
<br /> the whole 20 acres, so that' would be .one iot, ' nd it would leave 3 I i

<br /> As petitioners, we urge this DANE COUNTY ZONING i NATURAL RESOURCES
<br /> COMMITTEE TO APPROVE THIS REQUEST, and to request the Coun y Board to
