This petition <br /> requests a zoning change from R-3A to R-4 for the location East of 1505 Carver <br /> Street, Section 34, NE NE Town of Madison, area 1.45A, for the purpose of <br /> constructing a 36 unit apartment building. <br /> The Town of Madison is already some 75% apartment buildings. This <br /> particular area is one of the few "neighborhoods" left of one and two family <br /> dwellings with a mostly permanent population - the majority of the property in <br /> the area is owner occupied. We don't need any more transient housing and the <br /> disregard for property and neighbors that too frequently goes with it. Nor do <br /> we need the increased traffic. We're already having enough problems between <br /> the speeding traffic in the area and the many small children, bikers, joggers <br /> and walkers who use these streets.
