.
•
July 13, 1988
Ms. Anne Farr Attn: Cross Plains Town Board
3655 Highway J
Cross Plains, Wisconsin 5352B
Dear Anne
I an asking that you bring to the attention of the Cr w5 Plate Town Board my
interest in rezoning a portion of my farm in section 35, Cross Plains Township.
The exact details have yet to be worked out. I have talked by phone with Mr.
John Halverson, land surveyor, and will be meeting with him in a couple weeks.
My immediate and definite plan is to seek approval from the Cross Plains Town
Board to rezone approximately 10 to 15 acres of land where the farm buildings
are located. This parcel would be located primarily in R551/42 + R568/23B SEC
35-7-7 SE 1/4 of SW 1/4; it would also go partially into SEC 35-7-7 SW 1/4 of
9d 1/4.
My present long-term plans are to keep the majority of the farm as farmland —
definitely the north 40 acres (NE 1/4 ofSW 1/4) and the majority of S£ 1/4 of
SW 1/4. I eventually intend to parcel out in 5 to 7 acre lots the land to the
north of the town road entrance to the farm, probably making three or four
lots. The legal description for this land is R551/42 + R568/238 SEC 35-7-7 94
1/4 of SW 1/4. My going ahead with this request is still somewhat indefinite
and I will inform you of my plans before August 4 regarding these parcels.
If there is need for more information at this time please let me know. Thank
you for your assistance.
Sincerely yours,
Lee M. Swan
4635 86th Street East
Northfield, MN 55057
b.c.c. John Halverson
Thought I would send you a copy of this for your information. As I
mentioned to you in our phone conversation, my wife called Anne Herger and she
said that if I had the information in to her by August 4 there could be a
hearing with the town bd an August 15. Unfortunately, my wife reminds me that
I have to be in Northfield an the weekend of July 23rd —this leaves only the
30th to meet with you at the farm. If impossible for you, I'11 have to take
off during the week. Again, I can be reached at 507--645-9089 (h..0
best or late evening): office is 507-663-3006.
-CODE: FARMREZO.TWN -
