A-2 Zoning with a
Conditional Use Permit for truck parking allows a maximum of 2 trucks and
therefore, the rezone/CUP as applied for is not satisfactory for the
existing use. Reference Section 10. 126 (3) (1) - Dane County Zoning Ordinance.
A second factor is the proposed storage of damaged or abandoned vehicles and
the salvaging of parts from them. This use requires either A-2 Zoning with
a C.U.P. for a salvage yard operation or, if salvage is not a factor,
C-1 Zoning is required with a C.U.P. for storage of motor vehicles for dis-
position as abandoned or insurance claims. Ref. Section 10. 126(3) (g) &
10.13(2) (k) .
The Zoning Committee is holding action on the petition pending resolution
of the problems. Please confer with the Town Board to determine which zoning
category with related C.U.P. they would approve or not find objectionable.
The Town should then submit formal action to the Zoning Commmittee for their
consideration.
Very truly yours,
e,` 1-
William Fleck,
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
WF:klw
