To: Dane County Zoning Department
from: Patrick J. and Sheila A. Drea Telephone
160 Cedar Drive (Work-Sheila) 266-3727
Oregon, WI 53575 (Home) 835-5021
Re: Letter of Transmittal for a Conditional Use Permit
Property: Lot 1, Certified Survey Map Number 3171 (115 page 2)
NA, NA, Section 8, T5N, R10E
Town of Rutland, Dane County, Wisconsin
Parcel #26-08-167.2
4473 (S.) Hill Road
Oregon, WI 53575
(a) Proposed use of property: Construction on site of a new personal
residence for ourselves with a "Depindency Living Arrangement" for
husband's mother. (Five bedrooms total, 4 for us and 1 for mother.)
(b) Time schedule for development: Construction starting date May, 1989.
To be completed six months from starting date. (This is contingent
on sale of our present residence.)
(c) Why is property suitable for proposed use: This is a 2.01 acre
parcel toned R-1 at present. Lot size and house design (including
floor plan) incorporate the needs of the conditional use permit.
It is close to Highway 14 and the Village of Oregon for availability
of community services and medical emergencies. "Dependent" is a
senior citizen with a heart condition and diabetes. She currently
lives alone and is unable to maintain her residence and grounds by
herself. It is a nice, quiet location well suited for the proposed use.
This would also prevent the stress suffered by liiing alone (she
was robbed at gunpoint in her present residence several years ago) .
(d) Description of land uses within 300 feet of the property: The
2.01 acre parcel is adjacent to another 2 acre lot zoned 2-1 and
surrounded on the other three sides by land zoned for agricultural
use. The entire 2.01 acres will be maintained by us.
Respectfully submitted,
,v;r1
Patrick J. Drea, Applicant Sheila A. Dre Co-Applicant
February 3, 1989
