Land Regulation and Zoning DANE COUNTY <br /> Room 116, City-County Building ZONING <br /> Madison, WI 53709 <br /> Dear Bill: <br /> re: Rezoning Petition 3487, Town of Westport <br /> Your notice regarding petition 3487 and recording deed restrictions <br /> by October 9 has been received. One questions has occurred. When <br /> the change was approved by the Town of Westport they requested that <br /> uses be limited to those discussed in the application/petition. <br /> This resulted in restriction number 1 that restricts the uses to <br /> those listed. The original "Petition for Rezoning and Application <br /> for Conditional Use Permit" (copy attached) listed additional uses <br /> on page 2 that may not be reflected in the wording selected for the <br /> first restriction. <br /> The question that has arisen is does the wording in the proposed <br /> restriction permit those uses noted on page 2 of the application <br /> that were originally approved by the township and that were presented <br /> to the County Zoning Committee? These uses are more particularly <br /> described as: <br /> "Future concession stand serving park users, sale of bait <br /> and rental of "boats", planned additional picnic areas, <br /> parking areas and trails. The existing "Camp Wakanda" <br /> building and site which formerly housed the Department <br /> of Natural Resources Southern District offices, may be <br /> used for group recreation activities, conferences, educa- <br /> tion and training, and/or offices dependant upon future <br /> needs and demands. These uses may not necessarily be <br /> directly related to the state park." <br />
