TOWN OF MAZOMANIE ZONING & LAND PLANNING COMMITTEE <br /> MAY 20 , 1985 <br /> Members Present: Larrie Isenring , John Beuthin, Fred <br /> Teitgen, Anne Herb, Glen Henderson. <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Others Attending: Dave Blechinger , Karen Isham, John <br /> Fauerbach, Bob Alm/ Mr . & Mrs. Russell Mr . & Mrs . <br /> Nancy Tidwell (salesperson 1st Realty - <br /> DeForest) ,Nancy Mrugala , Steve & Cathy Martin, Dale <br /> Bauer, Charles Carnes . <br /> Chairman Isenring introduced committee members and thanked <br /> former Chairman Anne Herb, and retiring committee members , <br /> Art Shackleton and Jim Parman. <br /> Preliminary conferences were held on the following: <br /> Tom & an usse l proposed tentative plans for rezoning the <br /> part of th Russell <br /> the property on Mathewson Rd for a homesite. <br /> It was agreed that the property was within the Mazomanie <br /> Village Urban Service area. The committee suggested that <br /> the Russell ' s present a more specific plan with location and <br /> dimensions , keeping in mind the minimum size, minimum road <br /> frontage, and perk test requirements . <br /> Wingra Stone (represented by John Fauerbach and Bob Alm) <br /> regarding the rezoning of the Agnes Sawle property on <br /> Highway 14 with conditional use for a resiaence and sand pit <br /> and screening operation. <br /> The committee questioned the need to rezone 40+ acres when <br /> the "pit" would only take 6 to 7 acres. <br /> Mr . Fauerbach informed the committee that a reclamation plan <br /> was being prepared and would be available for the Public <br /> Hearing. He also indicated that the Township solid waste <br /> pickup location would not be disturbed. <br /> The date for the public hearing was set for Monday, June 3 , <br /> 1985 in the township office. <br /> Bernie Mrugala roposed his intention to purchase the <br /> Peterson property on Reuter Road for his residence and the <br /> out building and land to be used for a recyling center , <br /> sorting and'storagge facility. This would require rezoning <br /> with aJ conditional use permit. <br /> Mr . Mrugala explained that they would be baling cardboard, <br /> collecting newspapers , plastic, lass, steel and aluminum. <br /> Hazardous waste would include batteries , used oil and <br /> cooking grease. <br /> Equipment would include 2 semi-trailers in back , 3 in <br /> between the buildings , along with several garbage trucks and <br /> a semi tractor . Currently he has 4 garbage trucks 14 <br /> semi-tra 'lers , and 1 semi-tractor . A compactor wuld be <br /> installed in the manure pit inside of one of the building <br /> and perhaps a can crusher and conveyer or blower . There <br /> would be a possible need for 3-phase electricity. Currently <br />
