SFC•3O <br /> /1/ ^7/f 2L /igE <br /> This letter shall serve as my application-falf<Pecial <br /> exception to the Dane County Wetlands zoning ordinance. <br /> The property referred to contains approximately 20 acres <br /> of wetlands which in its current condition is too dry <br /> for water fowl habitat and too wet for any type of <br /> upland game nesting cover. <br /> I propose to dig 4 wildlife ponds which would provide <br /> food and resting place for water fowl while the removed <br /> material would provide a high dry border area which <br /> could be planted to grasses and grains for upland food <br /> and nesting cover. <br /> The cropland south of the area is badly gullied and <br /> washes into the wetland. I am working with ASCS to <br /> design a sod water way to conserve this cropland and <br /> protect the wetland. This waterway would be planted <br /> and managed to provide upland game nesting cover. <br /> I propose to begin work on this project in late summer <br /> of 1985 and complete it by fall of 1986 . <br /> Sinceeely, <br /> J. ep• R.
