, Dane County Zoning Department •
July 11, 1985
Page 2
The date of the commencement of excavation operations was
July 1, 1981. The top soil from the extraction site was
saved and piled near the site for use in reclamation after
the completion of the extraction operation. At the present
time no water will be used or disposed of in this operation.
In the event water is used in the future, e.g. , for washing
gravel, an amended application will be submitted. Mineral
extraction has not been and will not be conducted within
six hundred (600) feet of any residence and will not be
contiguous to any abutting highway, nor will extraction take
place in proximity with any lakes, rivers or streams or
flood plains.
It is presently projected that the extraction operation will
continue for ten (10) years. Timely renewals of the mineral
extraction permit will be obtained as needed. At the time
the extraction operation is terminated, Wingra Stone Company
or the permit holder, will reclaim the extraction site.
Reclamation will include contouring the exposed area with a
slope which does not exceed the ratio of three to one or a
safe angle; the displaced top soil will be replaced on the
contoured area. The area will have no permanent structures
and will be cleared of all debris.
You will find enclosed a map showing the extraction site
together with our application fee in the sum of $100. 00.
Sincerely,
WHIPPLE LAW OFFICES, S.C.
(.1A
Carlyle 4. hip le
CW:kgs
File No.
Enclosure
cc: Wingra Stone Company
