•
Judy Randall
October 8, 1985
page 2
Both proposals are now before PP/J. At their meeting on October 7; their Chairman
. asked that I report on the number of petitions that had been submitted by supervisors
for no fee in the past two years. I did so, and attach the list I presented.
Supervisor Anders suggested that the only no-fee petition that ought to be allowed
should be one done for a public purpose. Supervisor Levitan said that municipalities
were already exempt from fee for their own lands by the terms of the ordinance.
Supervisor Levitan suggested that no fee ought to be charged if staff has made an
error that necessitates a new petition. Supervisor Wachs suggested that staff should
be the ones to submit such a corrective petition for no fee. I said that any such
staff action ought to be with the express review and approval by the Committee or the
Board. Chairman Wagner, with unanimous consent, deferred action until Corporation
Counsel prepared a draft of a substitute amendment for consideration. There was
subsequent discussion over an apparent discrepancy in ordinance language, and I attach
a copy of my memo responding to that discussion.
I have asked Corporation Counsel to provide me with an early draft of whatever he
comes up with for PP/J. I will report to the Committee as soon as I hear from him.
Attachments (2)
cc: Agriculture, Environment & Land Records Committee
4:1314 MEMNON
•
