• <br /> • <br /> ^, V AREA CODE 608 <br /> J . l.: . t !R I E ` TELEPHONE 839-4921 <br /> ROUTE 2.4924 KRAMER COURT <br /> COTTAGE GROVE,WISCONSIN 53527 <br /> August 15, 1985 <br /> Town Board <br /> Town of Sun Prairie <br /> Since 1975 we have resided at the above address - about <br /> 1000 feet east of the Consolidated Paving Co. asphalt mix <br /> plant located on the Russell McCarthy farm. <br /> Having the plant 1000 feet upwind across a farm fiend has <br /> not resulted in axy problems in our living environment. <br /> Odor from the plant has been infrequent and - even then - <br /> less noticeable than barnyard odors that occasionally reach <br /> us. Dust may have blown to us on a high wind on a dry day, <br /> but in minor quantities. Noise from the plant is subdued <br /> and no more noticeable than traffic noises from 1-94 and <br /> a great deal less than noise from helicopters or planes <br /> overhead. <br /> Our well water has been tested periodically at the State <br /> Laboratory -most recently in 1984 - and no foreign agents <br /> or other problems have been found. <br /> We have no objections to Consolidated continuing to <br /> operate in their present location indefinitely. We do <br /> no business with Consolidated and have never met nor talked <br /> to any management personnel from the firm. We co-exist <br /> peaceably in the same neichborrood without problems. <br /> On this date Russell McCarthy asked if we might appear at <br /> the board meeting this evening to describe or experiences <br /> in living next to the Consolidated plant. Being unable <br /> to appear, we are sending this letter to explain those <br /> experiences. <br /> If anyone desires to call us to verify or expand on the <br /> above accounting, feel free to do so. <br /> U ' <br /> SAD/��, <br />
