The following recommendations <br /> were formulated: <br /> Area #1 - This area should be backfilled with strippings or over-burden material <br /> stockpiled in area #3. A minimum 4 to 1 slope should be <br /> established on the east boundary of this area the top of which <br /> should meet existing grade of wooded area to the east. Care <br /> should be taken to construct a drainage swale through area #1 <br /> to provide for surface run-off of areas #2, #3, and #5. <br /> Area #2 - The north facing slope of the gravel pit in this area should be <br /> graded as a continuation of the existing undisturbed terrain <br /> that lies to the south. Deep excavation areas at the bottom of <br /> the slope should he filled with strippings stockpiled to the <br /> north. <br /> Area #3 - Contains large stockpiles of strippings needed to restore areas <br /> #1 and #2. Final grade in this area should provide run-off <br /> into the drainage way constructed through area #1. <br /> Area #4 - Is now partially restored. This area contains stockpiles of old <br /> machinery and miscellaneous iron. Removal of this material <br /> should be completed by June 1, 1936 so restoration of the <br /> surrounding area can he completed. A drainage swale may have <br /> to be constructed in the north portion of this area to allow <br /> surface run-off drainage to the northwest. <br /> Area #5 - A portion of this area contains the asphalt plant and will probably <br /> he the last area to be restored.
