Are to be constructed and placed on the building site so <br /> as to offer minimum obstruction to the flow of flood <br /> waters. Whenever possible, structures will be <br /> constructed with the longitudinal axis parallel to the <br /> direction of flow of flood waters, and will be placed <br /> with their longitudinal axis approximately on the same <br /> line as those of adjoining structures. <br /> 4. Are firmly anchored to prevent them from floating away <br /> and restricting bridge openings or other restricted <br /> sections of the stream or river. <br /> 5. Have all service facilities, such as electrical and <br /> heating equipment at or above the flood protection <br /> elevation for the particular area. <br /> 6. Are not subjected to flood depths greater than two feet <br /> or flood velocities greater than two feet per second. <br /> (8) USES NOT PERMITTED IN THE FLOOD STORAGE DISTRICT: <br /> (A) Solid Waste Disposal Sites: All solid waste disposal sites, <br /> whether public or private, are prohibited in the flood storage <br /> district. <br /> (EXPLANATION) <br /> Chapter NR 116 Wisconsin Administrative Code, Floodplain Management Program <br /> was recently approved by the State Legislature and is scheduled to take effect <br /> on March 1, 1986.
