Division of Highway & Transportation Services <br /> 4802 Sheboygan Avenue <br /> Madison, Wisconsin 53702 <br /> Dear Mr. Schaefer: <br /> I am part owner of a piece of property in Section 33, Town of Sun Prairie, and <br /> Section 4, Town of Cottage Grove in Dane County. <br /> This property lies east of County Hwy N and south of Interstate 94. We are <br /> requesting a zoning change on this property from Ag 1 to C 2, to accommodate a <br /> truck terminal on this location. <br /> The Town of Cottage Grove's approval is conditioned upon our present driveway <br /> being moved 50' to the north of its present location. The town feels that <br /> trucks leaving the terminal at night might cause a problem and distraction to <br /> the residences across the road from the present driveway. Some members of the <br /> County Agriculture-Environment-Land Records Committee also think this driveway <br /> move should be a condition of approval of this zoning change. <br /> There is a real need for this type of facility in the Madison area. This is a <br /> perfect location for this type of operation. It's close to Madison and has access <br /> to the Interstate, County Hwy TT, N and EIB. <br /> There are many driveways and intersections that are closer to the interstate than <br /> this one would be. We only have to go to the north side of the Interstate to find <br /> County Hwy N and TT which are close to this driveway.
