. <br /> /' ...� . <br /> j <br /> March 6, 1986 <br /> To Wham it May Concern; <br /> We, The family residents of parcels 09-04-72.1, 09-04-72.2, 09-04-73, <br /> are opposing the zoning petition 43625 because we are only separated from <br /> this rezoning by CTH "N". The driveway or field entrance which we assume <br /> will be used is directly across CTH "N" from the driveway to the Neil Bulman <br /> residence and rental unit. ( Libit "B") . <br /> These are same of our concerns: <br /> 1.) The dust and diesel fumes we are sure will necessitate centrai <br /> air conditioning in the three residences. It is very doubtful that the <br /> zoning petitioners would purchase and install three air conditioning units. <br /> Dust and diesel fumes are not very conducive to raising crops for human and <br /> animal consumption. <br /> 2.) Why does Martin Smith's name appear on the zoning petition? Martin <br /> Smith's name does not appear on the 1985 tax roll on this property. (Exhibit "A") . <br /> The names on the 1985 tax roll on this property are Smith, Irving J. and <br /> K.J.S. Investments. We would appreciate knowing whan or what K.J.S. <br /> Investments are. This is the first time the name K.J.S. InvesLu'ents have <br /> appeared on this or any orther property in the Town of Cottage Grove within <br /> the present treasurers' time in office (Nearly 13 years) . We maintain the <br /> Town of Cottage Grove Planning CaYmittee and the Cottage Grove Town Board <br /> were very lax by not informing the interested parties as to the idenity, if <br /> they did in fact knoi, of K.J.S. Investments. <br /> . 3.) The only valid traffic count we could find was made in 1984 on <br /> CTH "N" approximately one-half mile north of the Cottage Grove Village limits. <br /> This count showed 4300 )ehicles in a 24 hour period. Imagine what that count <br /> would be if done in the summer of 1986 if this petition were to go through <br /> along with the natural increase in traffic in the last two years. <br /> If this petition is granted by the Dane County Board we would like to <br /> have a stipulation in the grant for landscape scrning. Perhaps a berm (a <br /> pile of soil that acts as a sound barrier) with evergreen trees planted and <br /> spaced on top of the berm. This berm and trees would be from north to south on <br /> the west side of the proposed rezoned area. The landscape screening would be <br /> from Interstate 94 fence on the north to Gaston Road on the south. This <br /> �;� zt 2 a,01— MAR 11 1986 <br />
