Williams
Towm Board Member present: L.S. Kettinger
Six town residents attended, 4 from Nondahl Heights. They inquired about the
blanket rezone, questioning why they were changed from A-1 to either R-1 of R-2.
They wanted clarification of how this would affect the use of their property--
building addiitonal structures on their lots, etc. They will give the Plan
Committee their decisions within the month.
8:00 P.M. Regular meeting agenda
Gloria Struzinski requested a change in the zoning of her home from R-1 to BN1
• in order to establish a one chair beauty shop in their basement. The next door
neighbors do not object to the change. Bob Gust moved approval of the rezone
request, Kristi Williams seconded. Carried.
Irving Smith requested a zone change for 11 acres bordered by County Highway N,
Gaston Rd and Interstate 94. He wishes to establish a truck terminal and perhaps
mini warehouses. The terminal would have two people in the office at all times.
Truckers would be in and out between 3 AM and 8 or 9 PM. Construction would
require water run-off impact report. The building would have about $400,000
valuation on the tax roll. Truck drivers would run the lift trucks themselves
to load their trailers. Four truck companies have expressed an interest in the
terminal at this time. Gene Skaar suggested planting a row of trees next
to the fence line to provide an appealing view. Mike Kindschi suggested this
was a good site for the business, but was concerned about up-grading Gaston
Rd. for the mini warehouses.
Bob Gust moved to approve the 11 acre rezone from A-1 to C-2 with conditional
use permit required for anything that would cause construction of a driveway
on Gaston Rd. Steve Querin-Schultz seconded, ,Carried.
Dave Bowers appeared to state he wishes to end the current lime pit at some
time in the future. He realizes he must get a conditional use permit on the
first 12 acres and wants an additional number of acres rezoned A-2 for
mineral extraction. Gene reminded him of the fencing ordinance.
Mike moved to adjourn, Kristi seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
Kristi Williams, Secretary
5P-77
