Effective immediately you will <br /> no longer be employed by Municipal Engineering & Inspection Services, <br /> Inc. (MEI). The decision is based upon the following points: <br /> • You hired a contactor to do work upon your house and property, <br /> which is located within a Town that is a client of MEI, for three <br /> separate projects over the course of the last 6 months without first <br /> acquiring zoning permits or building permits. <br /> • You assured the contractor that you would secure the necessary <br /> permits for the projects and complete the required inspections <br /> yourself, a clear conflict of interest. <br /> • You posted a fraudulent Wisconsin Uniform Building Permit Card in <br /> the front window of your residence to show that you had secured the <br /> permit for each job. You filled in the permit number with an invalid <br /> entry and signed the card with your signature and certification <br /> number. <br /> • You have made numerous false statements regarding this situation <br /> and, as more information has come forward, been forced to recant <br /> these statements. Your lack of truthfulness in this matter has <br /> weighed quite heavily in this decision.
