It has been used as such since June 1974. Previously, it
had been a land fill operation. Enclosed is a copy of our current D.N.R.
license for a wood burning site.
This site is known as the Town of Oregon woodburning site located in the
NE 4 of the NWi of Sec. 17, T5N R9E Dane County.
We use WM Partners of SW WI as oup4ollection agent and are working with
them to establish a source separation for recycleables.
A wood burning permit may be granted by D.N.R. until the population
reaches 10,000 and we comply with the other regulations. If the Town of Oregon
decides that it does not wish to use this site for a collection and burning
site it would be turned into a park(open spaces or other feasible use to be
determined).
Ru h Klahn, Clerk
Enclosures
