•
•
l
August 12, 1986
Madison, Wisconsin
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to inform you that I am against Petition #3747 by, Urban Land
Interest, agent for Wayne Ayers to change zoning from A-1 agriculture district
to B-1 local business district at Sect 35, SW, SW, Town of Middleton for
proposed office and computer firm. I wish to make the following statements:
1) The subject property has a common property line with my property.
2) I oppose rezoning in any form regardless of whether 1 acre or 20 acres.
3) I oppose rezoning whether the 1st building is screened or unscreened
from view.
4) I oppose rezoning whether restricted to a specific use or not
restricted.
5) I have personally talked to 6 neighbors and 5 are opposed and one is
ambivalent. She is an 85 to 90 year old woman who was asked by an
attorney to sign a document removing an existing deed restriction on
this property which would have prohibited the building of an office on
this site and she signed it.
6) Last night those persons asking for rezoning told the town board that
the rezoning was okay with the neighbors, not having gotten any
specific notice of that meeting, no neighbors showed up at the meeting
and the town board did not object. My physical appearance here along
with others is proof that what the town board was told is not true.
They acted with faulty information unbeknown to them. We the neighbors
plan to sign a petition requesting the town board to file a certified
resolution of their board demanding a turn down of this rezoning
request.
7) The city of Madison is an official record opposing this rezoning.
8) There are tons of appropriate places for buildings and businesses of
this nature, well over 600 acres in the immediate vicinity with proper
utilities, etc.
9) This rezoning would be totally out of context with the rest of the
neighborhood.
