NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> BY THE DANE COUNTY <br /> AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT & ZONING COMMITTEE <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held in Room 224 of the City-County <br /> Building, Madison, Wisconsin on Tuesday, January 10, 1984 at 7:30 P.M. to consider the <br /> following matters: Petitions to amend the Dane County Zoning Ordinance and Applications <br /> for Conditional Use Permits. The matters to be heard are as follows: <br /> 1. PETITION #3167 by Dane County Board Supervisors Nichols, Anderson, Haanen, Leidner, <br /> Wagner, Herbst, Gleasman, Levitan, Dahlk and Lunney to amend Chapter 10 Dane County <br /> Zoning Ordinance as follows: <br /> I. Section 10.01 (19a) is created to read as follows: bbk <br /> (19a) "Dependency living arrangement" means a physical arrangement of a dwelling unit <br /> in such a fashion that separate living spaces are created within the dwelling unit for <br /> the sole purpose of allowing a dependent relative of the owner to live in the secondary <br /> living area while the owner and his or her family reside in the principle living area. <br /> The secondary living area may contain a bath and limited kitchen facilities which per- <br /> mit a degree of independence. <br /> II. Section 10.05 (2) (g) is created to read as follows: <br /> (g) Dependency living arrangements. <br /> III. Section 10.09 (2) (e) is created to read as follows: <br /> (e) Dependency living arrangements. <br /> IV. Section 10.12 (2) (m) is created to read as follows: <br /> (m) Dependency living arrangements. <br /> V. Section 10.123 (4) (a) is amended to read as follows: <br /> (a) Single family dwellings or mobile homes occupied by parents or children of the <br /> farm operator, and including dependency living arrangements. <br /> VI. Section 10.255 (2) (h) 1. is created to read as follows: <br /> 1. In addition to such other conditions as the Committee may impose upon any condi- <br /> tional use, in the case of dependency living arrangements, the committee shall require <br /> as a condition of approval that the use shall be discontinued at the time that the <br /> dependent relative ceases to reside in the secondary living area. At that point, the <br /> owner shall remove any separate kitchen facilities which have been installed. In no <br /> event shall the space so created be used by other than a dependent relative and it <br /> shall not be used for general rental purposes. The committee may, if it so desires, <br /> require the owner to record deed restrictions implementing these additional restric- <br /> tions and such deed restrictions may be required to run in favor of the County, the <br /> town and adjacent landowners. <br /> MAY 1 5 1984 <br /> Published: Wisconsin State Journal AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT & ZONING COMMITTEE <br /> December 27 and January 3, 1984 <br /> Mary D.
