March 9, 1984
Dane County Agriculture,
Enviroment and Zoning Committee
ATTN; Mary D. Weisensel, Chairperson
Room 116, City-County Building
210 Monona Avenue
Madison, Wisconsin 53709
Re: Proposed Country and Western Nightclub
Conditional Use Permit #364
Dear Ms. Weisensel:
In relization that a significant amount of information has been
submitted to date, we feel it is neccessary to again direct some
attention to the fact that it is not true that all neighbors are in
opposition to the proposed Country and Western Nightclub, opening,
or location. But in fact we feel the opposite is true.
There has been little notice taken to the fact that there
was actually submitted, 19 petition signatures (attached) of businesses
in the immediate vicinity of the location on Acker Road and Hwy. 51.,
all in strong favor of the proposal. Also 59 petition signatures
(attached) of Town of Burke residents, who were agreeable with the
proposal as well.
We also wish to have it known that we plan to employ approximately
80 to 100 people, and that already, there have been persons approaching
us on possible employment, from the Town of Burke area. Signifying
the desire and need for employment in the vicinity.
It is our understanding, that all information necessary for the
committee decision process has been supplied, and so at this time we
would like to thank you for your time and consideration thus far on
Conditional Use Permit #364. And respectively request that the
committee render its approval on the permit at the March 13, 1984
meeting.
Sincerely,
(-13k) 141
Ernest M.
