Construction is anticipated to begin on or about the 15th of this month. The first phase of work will involve razing the existing 2-story house and detached garage to make room for a new 30'x90'home with attached garage. Both the existing house and proposed home have a crawl space. The new structure falls essentially over the footprint of the old. Therefore,it is anticipated that additional excavation after removing the existing house will be held to a minimum. The soil map indicates that McHenry Silt Loan(MdC2)is the dominant soil type at the site, however Orion Silt Loam(Os)which is more susceptible to erosion is nearby and was therefore used in the USLE calculation. Existing slope across the lot is fairly flat but increases to approximately 5 percent near Lake Waubesa. No construction,except for the possible placement of temporary stockpiles,is anticipated in the 5 percent area. Runoff from the front third of the lot is toward Waubesa Avenue. The remainder slopes southeast toward Lake Waubesa. There is essentially no runoff to or run-on from adjacent lots. The Erosion Control Plan allows for construction through he winter months and specifies a final stabilization of seed and mulch on June 15,2009.
