< • /'° '4-
 - - Oregon Sportsmen!s
C1ub Inc.
Box 152 Oregon, Wisconsin 53575
oi
Zoning Committee
Zoning Department
County of Dane
Room 166
City/County Building
Madison, WI 53709
Re : Zoning Petition #3243
Conditional Use Permit #385
We have reviewed the deed restriction but have some reservations
about signing it at this time due to the proposed wording.
Rather than wording the restriction by stating the types of
activities that would not be permitted, as we thought was going
to be done, it has been worded to try to list activities we
can do.
Because of the general nature of the wording we can't be sure
the club can continue with all the various activities we have
held in the past nor can we tell if a new club function could
be held in the future.
Our only recourse , to at least maintain the status quo, is not
to file the deed restriction until these concerns have been
satisfied.
Mr. Fleck suggested this letter to you outlining these concerns
so corrections could possibly be handled on the conditional use
permit.
Our understanding was that the deed restriction would be worded
to prevent us or any successors from operating baseball diamonds,
campgrounds, golf courses and other such uses permitted under
RE-1 zoning.
We have no objection to restrictions on such activities but to
list permitted club activities is much more restrictive than
we had previously agreed to.
Some of our past club activities have included:
1. Monthly meetings
2 . Game feeds open to public as fund raisers
3. Trapshooting with outdoor lighted range
4 . Hunting on premises
5 . Informal outdoor archery range
6 . Club Picnics
Page 1
